The Touratech Suspension *CSC* steering damper effectively optimizes the riding stability of the 2013 BMW R 1200 GS. Whether on trails and tours with a heavy load or during spirited cornering, we experience and discover that the linear Touratech Suspension *CSC* (Constant Safety Control) steering damper, with its continuous support, opens up entirely new dimensions of riding.
Depending on individual requirements, the damping can be finely adjusted to the riding conditions via 24 clicks. This results in a noticeable improvement in riding dynamics, especially with a heavy load in touring trim, on long journeys, on the worst roads, and/or on off-road tracks. With the *CSC* steering damper, the motorcycle can be ridden much more stably, with less fatigue, and more safely.

The following influences are greatly minimized:
- No more sharp steering input when cornering slowly with a heavy load.
- Minimizing the vibrations transmitted from the driver to the handlebars.
- Example: Wind blowing against motorcycle clothing and disturbance caused by a truck or van driving ahead.
- Minimizing disruptions caused by ruts on highways, country roads and also ski slopes.
- A small front wheel with knobby tires is noticeably stabilized when driving on slopes or sand.
- Reduced fatigue on long journeys due to permanently higher driving stability.
